The GH-200: GitHub Actions assessment is designed to evaluate your understanding of the topics covered in the GitHub Actions certification exam. This assessment targets professionals who are experienced in using GitHub and want to demonstrate their expertise in automating software development workflows and orchestrating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
Candidates should have a solid grasp of GitHub Actions fundamentals, including workflow YAML syntax, triggers (e.g., push, pull_request, schedule, workflow_dispatch), jobs and steps, secrets and environment variables, reusable workflows, matrix builds, caching, artifacts, and runner management (GitHub‑hosted and self‑hosted).
They should also be knowledgeable about reliable automation practices, permissions and security (e.g., least‑privilege use of GITHUB_TOKEN and environment protections), approvals and gates, and integrating testing and quality tooling into pipelines (such as unit/integration tests and code scanning) to ensure software integrity and smooth deployments.
This assessment contains 30 questions from the MeasureUp associated practice test. It does not include explanations or references as this is an assessment‑only product.
