Azure certifications validate and mark your expertise for specialized cloud roles. However, there are so many certifications available that sometimes it is difficult to know which one is right for you. In this article we cover everything you need to know about the Azure path to choose the right certification.
Why complete an Azure Learning and Certification Path?
There's one main reason that should encourage you to go for it: Azure is the leading cloud service provider in the market.
The demand for cloud solutions is continually growing and most organizations and companies, whether small or well-known, are moving their business to the cloud, therefore the demand for cloud professionals is growing at the same rate. Microsoft certification has great value, and most companies prefer that their employees have it on their resumes.

Azure paths to certification
Here are the azure paths to certification for some of the most popular jobs among applicants:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert
First, you should know that to obtain this certification you need advanced knowledge in the implementation and design of solutions on Azure.
The Solutions Architect Expert certification is made up of two exams. We must pass both to obtain the certification, although the order in which you take them does not matter and we are not conditioned in any way. Both exams, AZ-303 and AZ-304, can present us with a variable number of questions that usually ranges between 40 and 70.
However, both the 303 and 304 will be retired in March and will be replaced by AZ-305.
Are you determined to start your Azure path towards certification? Then nothing better than preparing yourself with the Microsoft official practice tests!
Azure Data Engineer Associate

They are in charge of integrating and consolidating data, both structured and unstructured, in their own structures for the construction of analytical solutions.
In order to pass the DP-203 exam (formerly DP-200 and DP-201), it is essential to have knowledge of data processing languages, such as SQL, Python or Scala and to know the following Azure services: Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly Azure SQL DW), Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob storage. Azure AI Fundamentals
If you want to get started in the world of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, the Azure AI-900 certification is a great start.
To take this exam it is not required to have previous experience in data science or software engineering; however, general knowledge in Azure Cloud and proficiency with (or understanding of) some statistical concepts would be beneficial, but not essential. In other words, this is the exam for people with no technical background at all.
Additionally, Azure AI Fundamentals can be used to prepare for other Azure role-based certifications such as Azure Data Scientist Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate.
Azure Database Administrator Associate
This certification provides professionals with the knowledge and skills to manage an SQL Server database infrastructure and those who work with Microsoft PaaS relational databases. Also, it will be useful for people who develop applications that deliver relational database content based on SQL.
Candidates are data and database management professionals who want to learn about managing the data platform technologies that are available on Microsoft Azure. It is also valuable to data architects and app developers who need to understand what technologies are available for the data platform with Azure and how to work with those technologies across applications.
