Enabling Folder Sharing
To share a folder for others to access on the network, you must have the right to share folders. This right is not given to ordinary users (members of the Users group) in Windows NT Workstation. To share a network resource under Windows NT, you must be a member of one of the following groups:
- Power Users (on Windows NT Workstation)
- Administrators (on Windows NT Workstation or Server)
- Server Operators (on Windows NT Domain Controller)
If you are not a member of one of those groups, you must be added to one of those groups before you can share resources.
