MeasureUp's Desktop Application Practice Tests and Skill Assessments MeasureUp uses “Live-in-the-Application” technology to assess a candidate's ability to perform tasks within actual Microsoft Office 2000 or XP applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Outlook is available in XP only. The assessment measures an individual's proficiency level at common tasks within the Microsoft Office 2000 and XP application suites. Using the task objectives of the Microsoft Office Specialist certification, MeasureUp has developed practice tests and skill assessments for Microsoft Word (Core and Expert), Microsoft Excel (Core and Expert), Microsoft PowerPoint (Core), Microsoft Outlook (Core), and Microsoft Access (Core). The practice tests provide a way to simulate the real exam experience and insure that the test taker will receive the same type questions that are presented on the real certification exam. Study and certification modes are available. These test modes allow individuals to use our products to the maximum potential as a learning and preparation tool. The assessments are available in one time or two time usages. They are designed to provide a way to identify an individual's strengths and weaknesses, verify desktop application computing skills, determine appropriate difficulty level for training sessions, and demonstrate an increase in skills through pre and post training measurement.
